Prices of fuel had been reduced many times but fares and prices of basic goods that are affected by the price of fuel remain stagnated.

The undying clamor of the working class is for wages to be raised to just levels.
Consumers are always at the losing end of the deal of commercial transactions. This, despite laws aimed to uphold the rights of consumers. There are always unfair business practices that make victims out of unsuspecting consumers who buy goods at face value, trusting that they are getting their money’s worth. Unfortunately, merchants and traders and vendors had their way of earning what is made to appear as fair price for goods that are actually less than what were priced for. It allows the merchant to earn more by less than what was sold. The practice is rampant and widespread and prevalent that they appear as normal practice in business.
Stubbornness is a trait that is commonplace even among high ranking government officials who are charged with policymaking and law enforcement functions. The tendency to be uncaring is manifest in the passivity of these officials to formulate policies and enforce laws for the safety and welfare of the people. The desire to act only crops up when dire things happen due to the inaction beforehand.
Fighting graft and corruption is too tough a task that the social ill still remains prevalent across the expanse of government at practically all levels. Calls to fight graft had been a common battlecry of every administration but all efforts seem failures as grafters continue to pillage the public coffers with impunity. Success in eliminating graft and corruption is too nil or even negative that those in it have the temerity of living proudly for having gained so much out of the thickness of their faces.
We lost that significant aspect of life as we got chained by despair under a regime of greed and lies. Deception was the order of every day that Filipinos lived and there seems to be nothing left for the future. Graft and corruption were pervaded all nooks of government at practically all levels that people resigned in dismayed submission to the prevailing setup.
A classic national shocker that every Filipino has an inkling of, for the facts were of public knowledge although well guarded and concealed by the powers that be.
Hope for this country’s and its peoples’ future in anchored on the first virtue of the word, which stands for honesty. This is the promise brought by the victory of President Noy which every Filipino must not only believe in but work for and live with every moment of their lives. The challenge is posed upon every citizen to be honest in the very same manner that one expects others to be. The realization of our collective dream for national renewal is hinged on the capacity of everyone, from our leaders to the least citizen in the cross-section of our economic, political and social strata, to live by the desirable virtues that can truly bring us to our goals and effect the desired change we long for.
Political eligibilities had been the better qualifier for government work than the multifarious eligibilities issued by government on the basis of merit and fitness. The system is one great wrong that requires a firm resolve and political will to eliminate if the effort to cleanse the career service is truly serious. People are aware that [...]
People keep wronging people for so long as those aggrieved choose to suffer in silence. Public wrongs perpetrated by those who were given the privilege to wield power cannot simply be set aside on the whim of those now in power. The greatest wrong that has to be righted if righting there still is an iota of chance is the robbery of the presidency in the 2004 presidential race. It is the greatest wrong upon which all other wrongs are rooted and must be righted for the sake of bringing to closure that crime against the Filipino people.
