TACLOBAN CITY- Reelected Leyte Rep.Sergio Apostol was the first congressman from the region who was proclaimed as winner in the congressional race.
Apostol, who was reelected for his second term as a congressman representing Leyte’s second district, was proclaimed by the members of the Provincial Board of Canvassers chaired by provincial elections supervisor Richard Alvin Japzon; provincial prosecutor Cesar Merin and Florencia Sabandal, provincial director of the Department of Education.
