E-Budget pre-training conducted

The Accounting Section of Samar First District Engineering Office went through a 3-day (September 25-27, 2012) E-Budget Pre-Training in preparation for the upcoming rollout training of E-Budget. Samar 1st including Zamboanga del Norte 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO), Samar 2nd DEO, Leyte 5th DEO, Leyte 1st DEO attended the said training.

The parallel testing for E-NGAS of Samar 1 is on its final assessment, and that would mean the start of E-budget. The pre-training is to ensure that all requirements and the manual documents required are successfully completed as Ms. Susan S. Duero reiterated during the first day of training. This will verify the completeness of all Obligation Requests together with their respective Statement of Allotments Obligations and Balance, Registry of Allotments and Obligations and Obligational Authority. The Agency Budget Matrix as well as the Sub-Allotment Release Order from DBM (Department of Budget and Management), Central Office and the Regional Office is needed to verify the information and to complete all the documents required during the E-Budget Training.

D. Micheal Cleary an international expert from D. Michael Cleary and Partners Inc. gave an overview of what to expect during the E-budget Training.Mr. D. Michael Cleary an international expert was present during the second day of training to do the lecture about E-budget. He also made clear that all documents and information should be complete so as not to encounter any difficulty when inputting information to the E-Budget System. He also made sure that the information on the particulars in the Obligation Requests are complete which are also true in E-NGAS.

The whole training focused on preparing the participating district offices on completing the documents and the information stated on it. The pre-training is essential since it prepares all participating district offices on what is needed and what to expect during the training. The team of Mr. Cleary is also able to determine those who are ready to go through the training based on the documents presented to them. Fortunately, Samar 1st was given a go signal for the Budget Training either on October 15, 2012 in Iloilo or on November 5, 2012 in Tacloban City. (Gisselle Y. Gomez )
