Last Monday it was conducted at Pawing. Part of the activities was messages delivered by Barangay Captain Chiqui Ruth C. Uy of Pawing to include other captains from other barangays of Palo who participated in the barangayan.
Everyone enthused praises for the activity as they saw hundreds of Pawing residents to include nearby barangays who availed of its services: consultations, assistance to those who needed services like those from the Municipal Assessor, Treasurer’s Office, Civil Registration, Municipal Engineer’s concerns and from the Municipal Social Welfare Development.

Hon. Wilson Uy, Palo concilor and husband of Brangay Captain Chiqui host barangay of Pawing was all over the place during the barangayan. Rightly so and expected of him, because he was one of the sponsors of this barangayan as president of Philippine Councilors League, Leyte Chapter. Other sponsors of the barangayan included An Waray party-list of mayoraty hopeful for Tacloban City in the next elections, Congressman Bembem Noel. Neil Montejo is the other congressman representing An Waray party -list.
Of course the provincial government has shared also a good share and valuable assistance in the success of the Barangayan in Pawing. Dominic “Mic” Petilla, one of our hopefuls for provincial governor of Leyte, also provided assistance to Team Matin and in other areas when ever similar activities are being conducted not only in Palo but other towns of the province of Leyte.
