Pag-ibig now offers group housing loan
TACLOBAN CITY- Housing loan commonly provided for individual Pag-ibig members is now also obtainable for legitimate groups by Pag-ibig Fund.
Pag-ibig now encourages members of cooperatives, local government units (LGUs), private organizations and institutions to avail of their group housing loan program which was luanched last July.
Interested groups with at least 30 members who are all members of Pag-ibig for two years are qualified to benefit from the program. The group must also come from an acknowledge sector, as for cooperatives they must be duly registered to the Credit Development Authority (CDA). Each of the affiliate must also submit a certificate of income tax return (ITR) to prove that they have the capacity to afford such loan.
“We want to reach as many people as possible, especially that a house is a basic commodity. This as also to diminish or at least decrease the number of families who don’t have their own house”, Leo Larraga, Chief of Marketing and Enforcement Division said.
Furthermore, the application process is still the same with the individual housing loan procedure. Presently, there are already LGU applicants on the program. (Christine Gresola-LNU Intern)
