BIR Catarman receives seal of excellence
PALO, Leyte – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) district office in Catarman, Northern Samar was awarded with a citizens satisfaction center- seal of excellence (CSC-SEA) by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) last September 3 at the Multi-Purpose Building of BIR regional office 8.
Awardees of CSC-SEA are those agencies which had an excellent rating report during the survey conducted in their bureau. The clients of the agencies, identified as respondents of the survey, will rate the transaction process and their satisfaction level towards the service rendered by a certain agency.
BIR-Catarman obtained an outstanding rating and has observed the no noon break policy. It has also compliance of the citizens charter and has a public assistance and complaint desk for client assistance. A citizens charter is a tarpaulin/poster with a step-by-step guide for every transaction conducted on an agency. This includes the information as to who shall assist the client on a certain transaction and how long must the process take.
“Clients offered with a cup of coffee are comfortably waiting while their papers are being processed. The transaction is also systematic since the personnel in-charge of every process is just near-by each other. The office is also conducive,” Rogelio Merin, administrative officer said.
Moreover, Merin said that their bureau is being innovative on their task to further face the struggle that awaits them. “We still have a lot of things to improve and hopefully we can get more awards. Having an award is a pride to live for in the history”, he added.
BIR will also conduct trainings to further enhance their personnel and their quality of service. (Christine Gresola-LNU Intern)
