While the programs appear innovative insofar as local government units at all levels are concerned, the same had already been proved to be workable and doable. The award became continuing challenges for local officials to achieve good governance.
In the search for the successor, it is hoped that it would not be tougher than the search for the body of the good secretary in the deep blue see. More than competence and qualifications is the ability of the successor to fill the void left by Secretary Jesse M. Robredo, people are expecting one who can pursue the innovations for good governance in the straight path where, in the words of the President, was the trailblazer.
