Catholics and the RH Bill etc.

There are two kinds of Catholics. Those who really practice their religion…practical, and those who do so only in name…nominal. Not all have the Catholic intellect to really understand their relationship with the almighty God, and the Catholic will to do what He wants, i.e., to do His will.

The object of the intellect is the truth and the truth of God. The Catholic intellect tells us to defend the rights and the claims of God. Its moral judgement and decisions must be founded on the truth. The intellect judges by a standard which primarily is the law of God, written in our nature. We were made according to laws and these laws find expression in the way we were made. The product of intellection is what we call conscience. Therefore, to avoid an erroneous conscience the intellect must base its judgements on the genuine laws of God, not on the recycled ones. Sad to think that generations have tried to recycle even the Ten Commandments.

The object of the will is the good. That is why every person’s choices are always for his own good. Our will is free. But freedom of the will does not mean doing what we please. It means doing what we ought to do or should do. Freedom has its own limits….otherwise it becomes license. Freedom must be guided by reason supported by God’s graces…enlightenment by the Holy Spirit. The Catholic will follows and does the will of God who speaks to us thru the Catholic Church.

Therefore the firm stand of the Catholic Bishops, the Catholics lawmakers against the RH bill, the divorce bill and gay marriages is the product of their Catholic intellect and their Catholic will.

If what I understand about the RH bill is correct, I am bothered by its adverse effects. It will surely promote promiscuity that will breed venereal diseases among the young. Imagine our future generations!!! Suppose the contraceptives cause abortion?….We were taught that the moment the sperm and the ovum unite, the soul assigned by God for that particular fetus or human beings, come in. In abortion the body dies but the soul does not. If the fetus dies without being baptized the immortal soul can never enter heaven for all eternity. Horrible!!

People want to depopulate the Philippines!

God wants to populate heaven!
