TOMECO to ensure safety during Sangyaw Festival 2012

TACLOBAN CITY – The Traffic Operation Management Enforcement and Control Office (TOMECO) will implement a road rerouting at 3 p.m. on June 29, 2012 for the Sangyaw Festival 2012.

According to Isabelo Lagutan, TOMECO officer, “Pagka 3 o’clock magkakaada na hin rerouting para paghatag hiton Parade of Lights tikang ha Coke south pakadto ha terminal.” For private vehicles, they will be diverted and TOMECO will give a car pass to private vehicles. TOMECO will prepare for this road rerouting one hour before the start of the Parades of Light.

TOMECO will be vigilant in their duties to enforce safety in this celebration, with the coordination of the Department of Health and the Philippine National Police and volunteers.

In case of confusion, TOMECO will put up a information booth to answer questions of the citizens of Tacloban and visitors. The information booth will be put up at the Coca Cola area and the downtown area. (Roxanne Natalie G. Perez)
