NSO-Leyte to interview 1,275 Leyte households

TACLOBAN CITY — The NSO-Leyte Provincial Office is conducting the April 2011 Labor Force Survey (LFS) in the 86 sampled barangays with 1,275 sampled households in Leyte.

The LFS is a nationwide survey of households conducted regularly to gather data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. It is primarily geared towards the estimation on the levels of employment and unemployment in the country.

Starting April 8, enumerators will be visiting the sampled households, thus, the public is hereby enjoined to cooperate on this undertaking. Respondents are given assurance that the data to be gathered will be held strictly confidential and will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or enforcement procedure, nor it will be published except in the form of statistical summaries in which no reference to any person shall appear.
