This was learned from PAG-IBIG Fund Regional Manager Joey Clarin in a recent interview.
Clarin said government and private employees who are members of PAG-IBIG Fund can now submit their loan applications to their office to avail of the calamity loan.
“Only members coming from Northern Samar and Eastern Samar provinces and the city of Tacloban can avail of our calamity loan since Saint Bernard in Southern Leyte has not yet submitted the copy of their resolution declaring their municipality under the state of calamity,” Clarin clarified.
It was also learned from Clarin that they are to follow new guidelines from their central office, stating that only those active members with at least 2 years of membership and has not availed of any multi-purpose loan within six-months or with at least half-a-year payment of their loan can avail of the calamity loan from their office.

“Calamity loan is easy to pay since it has a grace period of 6-months before the 1st payment,” Clarin added.
Multi-purpose loan (MPL) entitles a qualified member to avail from 60-80% of his contribution depending on his length of membership and is payment will be made after a month from the loan has been granted.
