Drug enforcement qualifying exam to be held in Tacloban, says PDEA 8
TACLOBAN CITY – The regional office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) will be having a drug enforcement officer qualifying examination in the city of Tacloban on December 4, 2010.
Liza Baoy, Information Officer of PDEA regional office 8, during the weekly press briefing “Express It at The Park,” said that this would be the first time that PDEA would be conducting the said examination in the region because the previous examinations were conducted always at the National Capital Region.
“The position entry that we PDEA have is Intelligence Officer 1,” Baoy said.
With this, Baoy is informing everyone who would like to join the country’s premier anti-drug agency to have their application prior to the date of examination that would fill in the necessary position.
According to the information officer, the height qualification of the applicants is 5’2 for the female and 5’4 for the male with an age bracket from 21 years old to 35 years old in particular.
Baoy also stated that an applicant must be a graduate of any four year course who possess a professional civil service eligibility, and a holder of Republic Act 1080 (an Act declaring the bar and board examinations as civil service examinations).
“Board passer of teacher, nurse, pharmacy and other field of profession may apply on the said position,” she added.
Moreover, Baoy pointed out that the applicants must be willing to be assigned anywhere in the Philippines and is willing to undergo a six-month’s training at the PDEA Academy located in Silang, Cavite.
